Extras Wanted For ‘Death Wish' Remake, Starring Bruce Willis, Filming in Chicago

The original 1974 film debuted a young and relatively unknown Jeff Goldblum, why can't you be next?

Extras are needed in a Chicago neighborhood where Eli Roth is currently filming a remake of the Charles Bronson cult-classic shoot-em-up “Death Wish.”

Filming notifications have been posted in and around Pilsen and several other neighborhoods since Sept. 23 from Death Wish Productions, noting street closures and parking restrictions during filming, a spokesman for 25th Ward Ald. Danny Solis, confirmed Monday.

“We are excited to capture the unique Chicago look and remarkable architecture in film,” the notification reads. “All businesses will be open for normal hours. As always, we understand that we are guests in your neighborhood, and will conduct ourselves accordingly.”

Bruce Willis will play Paul Kersey, iconically portrayed by Bronson in the original, an architect who goes on a vigilante spree to rid New York City of crime after his daughter is assaulted.
