It looks like the Bulls won't be getting their top free agent target.
According to the New York Daily News, Carmelo Anthony is set to re-sign with the New York Knicks, with an official announcment expected Thursday.
Anthony met with the Bulls players and management last week and was also said to be seriously considering an offer from the LA Lakers.
The source told the newspaper that Anthony's decision was made because he believes in new Knicks president Phil Jackson.
There's also the matter of the $129 million maximum deal Anthony can sign with the Knicks, significantly more than any other team can offer.
