Chicago Children's Hospital Releases ‘Hamilton' Parody Video for Flu Season

Doctors at the Northwestern Children's Practice release parody video to raise awareness on benefits of flu vaccinations

The Northwestern Children’s Practice released a Hamilton-inspired video Tuesday to inform people about the benefits of getting a flu shot.

Doctors from the practice appear in the video dressed in full Hamilton garb, rapping about the benefits of the vaccine through a list they’ve dubbed the “ten flu commandments.”

"Flu doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints - your best protection is to vaccinate," the hospital said.

The video, titled "Alabastor Fluminton," was posted to the NWCP’s Facebook page Tuesday, appealing to Hamilton fans on the day of the mega-hit musical's Chicago debut.

“Whether you have the iron constitution of Hercules Mulligan, or the more delicate disposition of Aaron Burr, come on by and see the room where flu shots happen.”

This is the second year NWCP has created a parodied video for the start of flu season. The first spoof, released last year, was themed after popular HBO series "Game of Thrones."

Beginning Oct. 3, children and caregivers can visit the hospital without an appointment for a free vaccination at noon, seven days a week.
