Chance the Rapper to Perform At National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Chance the Rapper will perform at the National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at the White House this December.

The Chicago native will do so alongside Kelly Clarkson and Yolanda Adams at the annual event.

President Barack Obama last August included Chance’s “Acid Rain” in his second annual summer play list on Twitter.

Tickets will be available to the public via a lottery system starting Oct. 7, according to the event's website

Chance has been outspoken on social issues ranging from the current presidential election season, gun violence in Chicago and community relations with police.
